This will be the teams 6th year of operation and we are just getting stronger and stronger through the placement and advancement of our players.
The Philadelphia Jackals are a Tier III Jr. ‘A’ Hockey Club, which is a member of the IJHL along the east coast from Philadelphia, PA. to Boston, MA. The Jackals provide the best possible environment for talented young hockey players between the ages of 15-20 to develop and showcase their skills. The Jackals philosophy will focus on the maturation process and character development of each individual young man on and off the ice.
Our first and main focus is that of our players, with education first and hockey second. As we all know you need to have dreams in life, but we truly want honest guidelines and visions for our players for their skill set and level of placement to either the NCAA, ACHA, CIS, CIAU, Major Jr. and Minor Pro Hockey. Our mission is to add to the quality of life to the players through education, direction both on and off the ice and to create a positive and memorable experience for all.
Our vision in to become an integral part of our players, parents and fans in the community as a premier junior hockey team, by providing a professional, educational and positive environment. The Jackals consistently stress academic, athletic pride and excellence, in order to perpetuate and advance our players throughout North America and beyond.
The problem in today’s Junior Hockey World is that of politics and greed of finance, instead of working collectively for the players, it always seems to be about the owner’s wallet and/or leagues wallet. As you have probably experienced the false and empty promises, the Jackals have complete honesty and direction to their players. The Jackals are that of success for their players by working as one and not as individuals and not focusing on individual monetary ventures or individual success, yet as a collective body to grow for the success of its players, as the teams ALUMNI will show you. The Jackals make their players the number one priority and not the common practice of politics or money. We are only as successful as our last player promoted, which means the focus is on education and the movement of our players and not the players/parents check book.
The Jackals embrace the correct values and ethics, in which we can fulfill both our mission and vision. We acknowledge that all our priorities are on the success of our players moving to the NCAA, ACHA, CIS, CIAU, Major Jr. and Minor Pro Hockey. Although, always keeping in mind that we are first and foremost, a junior hockey club representing the highest level of competition to our players to develop and grow in education and preparation for College as well as the game itself. We insist on the education of our staff to make sure every avenue is crossed to meet our players’ needs as if they were at their very own home.
The foundational values are that of continuously developing trust for one another and our players by demonstrating respect for the uniqueness of every individual in the Jackals organization on and off the ice. We build a confident, creative, disciplined team by possessing a high degree of initiative to ensure the success of our players through education and mentoring. We shall act in fairness and integrity in everything we do. In addition, we do not accept halfhearted efforts, but rather insist upon personal responsibility, accountability and a commitment to excel from each of our staff and players. Players should understand and expect their financial expense to play for the Jackals as an investment and at the end of their junior career, know the path they will take, whether that be in the NCAA, ACHA, CIS, CIAU, Major Jr. or Minor Pro.
By looking at our “ALUMNI” it will prove to you that you do not need to be in the preaching analogy of a “sanctioned league” as it is not a league or “USA Hockey” that moves you to the next level, but the program you play for that does the movement of its players. The quality production of our player comes from the success of a solid infrastructure of former Collegiate and Professional Players/Coaches that have TRUE CREDIBILITY and CONTACTS in the hockey world to move you to the next level. We are the only Jr. Hockey Club that has a Coach that still works in Professional Hockey, with NHL Affiliations, as well as two Tier II Jr. ‘A’ Affiliations.

The Philadelphia Jackals Goal for the 2011-12 Season:
•To have Large Crowds, at the top in the IJHL each year. We want our FANS to be the loudest fans in the league and want opposing teams to know and admit it when they come to play in our barn and make all games family orientated.
•To join a winning tradition. Players will learn quickly to be proud of wearing a Jackals Jersey.
• To provide each player the necessary tools to achieve their personal goals, on and off the ice.
•To build a team made up of character individuals who are prepared to commit themselves to being the very best they can both on and off the ice and in the community.
•To involve players in the community so as to expand their knowledge and experiences outside of the dressing room to prepare them for life after H.S. and into College.
•To provide an environment based on the principles of fairness, morals, ethics and equality for all players to mature and grow into professional your men.
•The Jackals do offer partial scholarship for Players through a "Sponsorship Program".
•To see that all Jackal Players will have NCAA Div. I and III and ACHA Prospect Packets sent to every
NCAA team on a “monthly monitor data base system.” Every player will be put into this data base as
part of their Player Fee at no extra cost.
